The Governor's Council on Disability and the Statewide Independent Living Council will once again be sponsoring the Legislative Education Project (LEP). The LEP's mission is to educate about the Missouri legislative process and motivate individuals by providing opportunities to become actively involved in positive public policy for people with disabilities. Introduction to LEP is a one-day training available for individuals/organizations that are novice to the legislation process or need additional learning about the Missouri legislative process. The Advanced LEP track is a two-day training that will provide a more intensive learning experience with facilitators/advocates on specific issues concerning people with disabilities. To be eligible for this training a participant must have completed the Introduction to LEP. New for 2008 is a customized training provided by the Governor's Council on Disability for those who are unable to commit to staying three days for the LEP.
